Face Wash | Exfoliating Cleanser by Monsieur BARBIER combines cleansing and gentle exfoliation. Its formula with 97.5% ingredients of natural origin helps remove excess sebum, dirt and dead skin cells, leaving the skin clean and smooth.

Perlite, a natural volcanic rock, provides the mechanical exfoliating action. Sweet almond oil and shea butter add caring lipids and help keep skin supple. The formula is described as gentle enough for regular and even daily use; Monsieur BARBIER also mentions two to three uses per week for a targeted exfoliating routine.

How to Use

Wet the face with water.

Apply a small amount of Face Wash and massage gently, especially over the T-zone of forehead, nose and chin.

Rinse thoroughly and gently dry the skin.

Monsieur BARBIER describes the exfoliation as gentle enough for daily use; two to three uses per week are also suggested for targeted exfoliation.

Does Face Wash exfoliate mechanically or with fruit acids?

According to the manufacturer, exfoliation comes from perlite, a natural volcanic mineral that physically lifts away dead skin cells. The INCI also contains Citric Acid, but no defined concentration for an acid peel is claimed.

Can I use this exfoliating gel immediately after shaving?

Mechanical exfoliation may be uncomfortable on freshly shaved, irritated or broken skin. Avoid using it straight after shaving on sensitive areas and allow the skin to settle first.

Can I combine Face Wash with retinol or AHA/BHA exfoliants?

Using several exfoliating products in the same routine may irritate the skin. When using retinol, AHA or BHA, separate applications where possible and adjust the frequency to your skin's tolerance.

Is Face Wash Exfoliating Cleanser fragrance-free?

No. The INCI lists Parfum and Citrus Limon Peel Oil (lemon peel oil), along with Limonene and Linalylacetate. Check these ingredients if you are sensitive to fragrance.

Is the entire packaging made from 100% recycled plastic?

The manufacturer specifically states that the bottle is made from 100% recycled PET. This does not automatically mean that the cap, pump or label are also entirely made from recycled material.
