Better Shave | Shaving Cream by Monsieur BARBIER is a concentrated, creamy shaving treatment for a particularly gentle wet shave. Its dense, pearly texture improves razor glide and helps reduce friction, razor burn and minor shaving nicks. It can be applied by hand or with a shaving brush.

The vegan formula contains 99.2% ingredients of natural origin and is free from parabens, phenoxyethanol and silicones. Arnica and ginger support skin comfort, while cypress extract helps remove excess sebum according to the manufacturer. The dense texture is especially suitable for precise contour shaving around the cheeks, neck and beard lines.

How to Use

Prepare the face with warm water.

Apply a small amount to damp skin or a shaving brush and spread the cream in circular motions, first clockwise and then counterclockwise. This massages the skin and lifts the beard hairs.

Shave first with the grain and, if needed, make a second careful pass against the grain.

Rinse the skin thoroughly with water and pat dry.

Better Shave is a concentrated shaving cream. Spread it over damp skin to create a dense, controllable layer. Unlike ready-made aerosol shaving foam, it does not require a propellant.

Does Better Shave shaving cream contain sulfates?

Yes. Sodium Laureth Sulfate appears in the INCI. Better Shave should therefore not be described as sulfate-free, even though the manufacturer designed it for a gentle shave.

Is Better Shave fragrance-free?

No. Its INCI includes Parfum as well as Hexyl Cinnamal and Limonene. People who are sensitive to specific fragrance ingredients should take these into account. Being paraben-free does not mean fragrance-free.
