The Dr. Severin® Women Original Body After Shave Balm is ideal care for the face, underarms, legs and intimate area after hair removal. Its antibacterial, soothing and regenerating action effectively protects against skin irritation, inflammation and razor bumps.

After shaving, sugaring, waxing, epilation or IPL, the balm helps against typical effects of hair removal such as razor bumps, razor burn and ingrown hairs. The formula is completely free from aluminum, alcohol and parabens and is developed and produced in Germany without animal testing.

Is Women Original After Shave Balm silicone-free?

No. The INCI lists Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane and PEG-12 Dimethicone. The formula is therefore not silicone-free.

Is the balm alcohol-free even though it contains propylene glycol?

The listed INCI contains no ethanol (Alcohol). Propylene Glycol is a different ingredient and should not be confused with ethanol. The manufacturer markets the balm as alcohol-free.

Can I use the balm after shaving the bikini area?

The manufacturer includes the intimate area among possible uses. Apply only to intact external skin, not to mucous membranes or broken skin. If unsure, test a small area first.

Is Women Original Balm fragrance-free?

No. The INCI lists Parfum as well as Limonene, Coumarin, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool and Eugenol. Review the full list if fragrance-sensitive.

Can I apply the balm immediately after IPL?

Dr. Severin mentions use after IPL. However, follow the IPL device's or practitioner's aftercare advice first, and avoid additional products while skin is irritated, overheated or damaged.
